90 degrees/sunny/chance of storms that missed us!
Today our campers discussed how Jesus reaches out to us in the midst of our own fears and doubts because He can overcome all. "But Jesus immediately said to them: 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.'" -Matthew 14:27
Today was a trip day for Youth Blast Boat Adventure. They ventured to Blue Marsh Lake where their day was spent boating, playing games on the beach, and tubing on the lake. They enjoyed pizza off site for dinner. Summer's First Burst had a more relaxed morning with exploratory play time while Wilderness Adventure learned about shelters and knot tying. Both Summer's First Burst and Wilderness Adventure had a little rest time before afternoon choice time. After dinner both groups enjoyed an all camp game in Funck Center because of the chance of storms, followed by ice cream floats. Summer's First Blast then enjoyed some time playing yard games and making friendship bracelets and Wilderness Adventure added to their survival skills with a lesson on First Aid.
Day Camp started their day with some rec time including the playground, playing in the sand, gaga, and 9-square. The kids also got to try out some boating on the lake. After lunch was the perfect afternoon for swimming and playing on the waterside. Their day ended with a special dog show!
