"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8 Today the campers discussed how Jesus died on the cross so that people everywhere can know God's grace and love.
Today was another beautiful, sunny day for the campers. Summer's First Burst had pool olympics and a pond study this morning. Youth Blast Boat Adventure started their day early with an optional polar bear swim before breakfast and then a morning of high ropes. Wilderness Adventure learned some outdoor survival skills before trying out the bug vacuums. This afternoon brought another day of choice time for all of the overnight programs. After dinner Summer's First Burst enjoyed some time to kick back, relax, and just enjoy time with their camp friends. Youth Blast Boat Adventure tested out their cardboard boat creations in the pool and finished with a pool party, and Wilderness Adventure had an exciting evening of the foam machine and water slide. The evening ended with a prayer labyrinth for Youth Blast and a time of music then prayer stations for Summer's First Choice and Wilderness Adventure. All three programs ended their night with their Commitment fires.
After their morning snack, the older day campers enjoyed a creek stomp while the youger day campers rotated through the Imagination Garden, boating, and ZEEC nature center. The kids got to cool down with the pool and waterslide after lunch. This afternoon the younger group learned a Squirrel Vs. Chipmunk game and the older group tested their skills on the climbing tower.
Breakfast- English muffin, egg patty, sausage patty, baked oatmeal, fruit
Lunch- Grilled cheese, French fries, carrots and dip, salad bar
Dinner- spaghetti with sauce and meatballs, green beans, garlic bread, salad bar
lots of yummy camp snacks
