High of 85/afternoon rain
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself." -Luke 10:27. During Bible discovery today campers learned the importance of empathy, graciousness, and mercy.
All of our overnight campers had slightly altered schedules today due to the rain. Grown Up and Me had a morning nature activity before choice time this morning. After lunch they had their Bible lesson and a last bit of fun before departing. We then welcomed the second group of Grown Up and Me campers before dinner. The other programs had a bit of morning rec time. Everyone had choice time before lunch followed by some cabin time, crafts, and Bible Discovery. Before dinner, Latino camp enjoyed some indoor group games while Epic Explorers and Youth Blast enjoyed a little more craft time. This evening will conclude with worship and watching the staff in R.O.C.K
Day camp was lucky to have most of their normal day before the rain arrived. The morning started with worship. The younger campers then enjoyed the playground, ZEEK nature center, and playing in the sand while the older kids played 9-square and gaga. Next was morning locations which included boating, the Imagination Garden, boating, fishing, and archery.
Even in the rain, Gretna Glen campers know how to have fun and make the most of their time at camp!
