Today in Bible Discovery, campers learned that Jesus calls us to be good neighbors by showing mercy to others. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself." -Luke 10:27
Today Climb On spent their morning at the climbing tower. They used real climbing shoes and learned how to be a belay team. After Hours started their day with some really cool morning options. Campers chose from yoga, Spanish, ultimate frisbee and a nature hike for the first sessions and then chose between shaving cream wiffle ball, improv and theater games, line dancing, and knot tying for their second session. MECA had a busy morning. They did some pond exploration, played gaga, and made crafts. After lunch MECA had some roll over time and the other programs took their swim tests which were rained out yesterday. Everyone then enjoyed choice time where they could swim, boat, fish, practice archery, shop the snackery, play gaga or basketball, or create things in the craft cave. This evening MECA had a special visit from a magician and his rabbit, and Climb On tried their skills on the personal challenge course. After Hours had their Bible Discovery time. A bit later all of the programs watched staff perform a variety of skits and songs in R.O.C.K. and then had their evening snack. MECA had their closing campfire and Climb On played a little night gaga before heading to bed. After Hours II went to the personal challenge course while After Hours I had their pool party. After Hours I then went on a night hike and After Hours II had their turn in the pool. All of the After Hours campers are still awake and will be making a special campfire snack at the Village before finally settling down for the night.
As normal, Day Camp started their day with morning worship and a snack followed by a little rec time. The younger campers then had time on the playground and at fishing and the older campers made a boat! After lunch the campers had time for the pool and waterslide. The older campers also tested their boat in the pool during this time.
