Today campers studied how Jesus died on the cross so that people everywhere can know God's grace and love. "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8
This morning After Hours returned to Gretna Glen from Paramount Sports after their 'up all night' event. They returned to welcome back signs and breakfast before getting a good days sleep and waking up in time for dinner. Climb On spent their morning off site climbing and Chiques Rock where they climbed and hiked before stopping for ice cream before heading back to camp. Since Grown Up and me is a small group, they joined in with day camp's morning activities. After dinner, Grown Up and me spent some time in the craft cave and playing gaga before their closing fire and roasting marshmallows. Climb On had their prayer stations followed by a fire at the village. Post-dinner, After Hours had their Bible Discovery time and then After Hours I went to prayer stations while After Hours II did a prayer labyrinth. They then came together for a fire before their glow dance party, complete with pizza and glow in the dark lemonade.
Day Camp began their day with morning worship, snack and rec time. The younger campers then went fishing, boating, and to the playground and the older campers had a rocket demo. After lunch they all had time to enjoy the pool and water slide. Next was water bottle rockets for the younger campers and the climbing wall and personal challenge course for the older kids.
