Week 5 Day 5

Posted by Gretna Glen on July 18, 2025

80 degrees/sunny/perfect camp weather

Today campers learned that when we reach out to God, we are invited to the celebration at his table. "For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. So they began to celebrate." -Luke 15:25

After breakfast this morning all of the overnight programs had time for Bible Discovery followed by choice time and a chance to shop from the snackery. Many campers spent their choice time at gaga and basketball today. Grown Up and Me enjoyed a creek stop where they looked for a variety of aquatic critters. After lunch each of the programs had their individual closing and some time to pack before the all camp closing. They then enjoyed a pizza dinner before heading home.

Day camp began their day with morning worship where they learned that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, then had some rec time and snack. The younger kids spent the rest of their morning boating, playing on the playground, and in the Imagination Garden. The older kids learned about the workings of bottle rockets and were able to watch a few launch. After lunch the kids all played in the pool and foam slide. Next the younger kids had their turn with the rockets and the older kids tested their abilities on the climbing tower and personal challenge course.

We hope to see all of our campers again next year (or maybe even again this summer) Until then, follow our social media accounts and website to stay up-to-date on all of our events year round.
