Climbing towers, bouldering walls, and rocky scrambles will excite the climber in us all! Campers of all skill levels are welcome to join this week filled with climbing and the joy of movement. Campers can expect to soar together to new heights on and off our three-sided climbing tower. In addition, we'll spend time building our community of support at the Personal Challenge Course and exploring the rocky splendor of God's creation at Gretna Glen.

To culminate all of our climbing experiences, campers will travel offsite for a fun day of climbing on real rock at Chickies Rock County Park in Lancaster County. This day will give campers a chance to use their climbing skills to navigate new terrain. All roped climbing will be “Toprope” climbing, with trained and experienced staff belaying every climb. We can’t wait for Climb On!

All Gretna Glen children and youth campers will have the opportunity to share in the camp experience filled with singing, Bible Discovery, worship, crafts, nature, swimming, boating, fishing, campfires, hiking, archery, sports, games, and much more. Each program is designed specifically to be age appropriate, and specialized staff are trained to maintain a safe and thorough program.

Our goal for all overnight campers is to create an environment where they can THRIVE:

This is considered an “OUTPOST” or “RIDGE” program. Outpost camping at the Ridge is rustic camping (no electric), but with water and bathroom access close by. Camper’s will either be sleeping on cots in canvas platform tents (canopy style) or in rustic cabins with bunk bed style accommodations.

As an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited program we meet over 300 safety and program quality standards. What that really means is we have safeguards in place for all of our campers, staff, and visitors that include sexual abuse awareness training, program safety at specialized events, lifeguards at all swimming and boating activities, food safety guidelines and so much more.
