Do you have an interest in horses? Have you been wanting to learn or try horseback riding? Then this week of camp is for you! Spend time learning about horses, talking about horses, grooming horses, riding horses, and making horse-themed crafts. Yee haw! Of course, the week will be rounded out with all the classic camp fun like climbing on the climbing tower, boating, fishing, swimming, and nature activities. Saddle Crew campers will explore bible discovery with just their small group but will have time with other camp programs to enjoy larger group activities.

The Saddle Crew campers will spend a few days off-site at a local ranch, where they will experience hands on grooming, arena riding, and more. The specific location is still being finalized, but we will inform you of the final details ASAP. All Gretna Glen children and youth campers will have the opportunity to share in the camp experience filled with singing, Bible Discovery, worship, crafts, nature, swimming, boating, fishing, campfires, hiking, archery, sports, games, and much more. Each program is designed specifically to be age-appropriate, and specialized staff are trained to ensure a high-quality and well-structured program.

Our goal for all overnight campers is to create an environment where they can THRIVE:

This is considered a “MAINSITE” program with housing in our cabins. Our cabins consist of bunk beds, and a changing area, and they utilize a modern Shower-house which was built new in 2018.

Gretna Glen is accredited by the American Camp Association. To earn accreditation, Gretna Glen complies with more than 300 health, safety and program quality standards. This accreditation is vital to the safety of our campers and guests while holding us to a high standard of excellence.
