Summer Program Coordinator
Leadership Role
This leadership position works closely with our Year-Round staff team to supervise the Program staff and provide direct support and leadership to all Gretna Glen Overnight camp and Day Camp programs. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of summer camp experience, possesses strong communication skills, can deliver organized and Christ focused program experiences, and can be a key leader in creating and maintaining positive staff culture within a Christian camp setting. Other important skills include organization while managing schedules and program supplies; adaptability and staying positive through daily changes due to weather or unforeseen circumstances; time management to keep camp running on schedule; and the ability to work effectively in a team with other leadership staff. This leadership position works Sunday through Friday each week. They are given on-site housing and will be expected to work long days and share an on-call schedule for nights throughout our 6 weeks of Overnight Camp. Employees are expected to be able to lift 50 pounds, remain active for long periods of time, and competently perform program and maintenance duties such as climbing a ladder, cleaning with basic cleaning chemicals, and running equipment as trained. Driver’s license required.
Secondary qualifications (nice to have): High Ropes/ Belay experience, Lifeguard certification, CPR/ AED Certifications.
