Summer Leadership Positions Summer Staff
This leadership position will work to provide Challenge Course programming for our Overnight Camp and Day Camp populations as well as manage the day-to-day upkeep of our Challenge Course equipment, structures, and facilities. Qualified candidates must have at least 2 seasons of experience in a high ropes course setting, with dynamic belay experience. They should possess a minimum of 100 hours of challenge course facilitation experience (spotted elements, team building experience). This person must possess soft skills to assist them in debriefing our High Ropes and Teambuilding courses for maximum impact in a Christian camp setting. This person will report to the Summer Program Coordinator and Year-Round staff. When Challenge Course duties are not needed, this person will be scheduled to assist with other areas of programming, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Employee must be a key leader in creating and maintaining positive staff culture within a Christian camp setting. This leadership position works Sunday through Friday each week. They are given on-site housing and will be expected to work long days and share an on-call schedule for nights throughout our 6 weeks of Overnight Camp. Qualified candidates are expected to be able to lift 100 pounds, remain active for long periods of time, and competently perform program and maintenance duties such as climbing a ladder, cleaning with basic cleaning chemicals, and running equipment as trained. This employee must also be able to professionally and quickly execute physically demanding at height rescues as trained. Driver’s license required. Employee must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Secondary qualifications (nice to have): TAG (the Adventure Guild) training, CPR/ AED Certifications, WFR Certifications, High Ropes Rescue training.
