Summer Waterfront Coordinator
Summer Leadership Positions Summer Staff
This leadership position works closely with our lifeguarding team to deliver safe and fun programming to our entire waterfront for both Overnight Camp and Day Camp populations. This position will work under Year-Round staff to manage and maintain the day-to-day needs of our 89,000-gallon swimming pool, our boating area with 5 types of watercrafts, and our catch and release fishing area. This person will directly supervise all Gretna Glen seasonal lifeguards for the 2026 summer season, ensuring that our waterfront program’s high safety standards and job expectations are consistently upheld. Qualified candidates will possess at least 2 seasons of lifeguarding experience. A valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certificate (or equivalent) is required. If certification expires prior to August 30th 2026, we can assist with finding a recertification opportunity. When Waterfront duties are not needed, this person will be scheduled to assist with other areas of programming, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Employee must be a key leader in creating and maintaining positive staff culture within a Christian camp setting. This position works Monday through Friday each week, and on-site housing is available if needed. Employees are expected to be able to frequently lift 50 pounds (and occasionally lift or move a person weighing 100 pounds or more), remain active for long periods of time, and competently perform program and maintenance duties such as climbing a ladder, cleaning with basic cleaning chemicals, and running equipment as trained. Driver’s license required. Employee must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
