Celebrating Christ in the Latino Rhythm
Latino Camp is a program led by experienced pastors and leaders of the Hispanic/Latino Ministries of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, and is dedicated to the spirituality, culture, and importance of each camper as a person. Together, we will worship with songs in both Spanish and English, eat a meal of Hispanic/Latino cuisine, and experience God’s love in a safe and welcoming environment all week long.
Latino Camp continues to be a meaningful ministry that brings together children and families from both the Eastern Pennsylvania (EPA) and Greater New Jersey (GNJ) Conferences, strengthening connections across our Hispanic/Latino ministries while nurturing the next generation of Christian leaders. This camp is open to children and youth of all cultures who want to experience the Latino heritage, culture, food, traditions, and spirituality. So come and join us as we share together our unity in Christ!
Our Goals for every camper
Our goal for all overnight campers is to create an environment where they can THRIVE:
Try new experiences
Camp is great exposure to new people, news skills, and new challenges.
Hear Good News
We are here to share in the joy of knowing and following Jesus Christ!
Reset and Renew
We work hard to create a place where campers can be themselves, unplug from devices, and rest.
Inspire One Another
Community experiences and culture creation are intentional, key aspects of every week.
Value Themselves
Campers learn they can do more than they thought possible by learning and growing all week long.
Explore Possibilites
Campers are encouraged to ask questions about their faith, their future, and their world.
A Week Built on Culture and Unity
Latino Camp is not just for Latino campers. It's for anyone who wants to celebrate, learn, and grow alongside a community that values heritage and faith in equal measure. Campers from all cultural backgrounds are welcome, and the week is designed so that everyone can participate fully, whether they're deeply connected to Latino culture or experiencing it for the first time.
The wide age range (9-18) is intentional. Older campers model leadership and mentorship while younger campers bring energy and curiosity. The result is a camp community that feels more like a family reunion than a week-long program, held together by shared meals, shared songs, and shared faith.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Campers stay in traditional cabins on Gretna Glen's main campus. Cabins have bunk beds, a changing area, and access to a modern shower house built in 2018. A counselor is assigned to every cabin.
This is a mainsite program, so campers eat meals in the Dining Hall and have access to all of Gretna Glen's main campus facilities throughout the week.
WHAT PARENTS SHOULD KNOW
Latino Camp runs Sunday through Friday. Please note the Friday pick-up time is 2-3 PM, earlier than most programs, ahead of the July 4th weekend.
The program is bilingual and welcoming to campers of all language backgrounds. Staff are trained for the full age range (9-18) and the camp is ACA-accredited, meeting over 300 health, safety, and quality standards.
